The Oil Palm Plantation Owners Cooperative (OPPO), Akwa Ibom was established in 2016 as a community-focused, social enterprise-driven for-profit entity. Over the years, we have made significant strides in cultivating oil palms and empowering farmers in Akwa Ibom. The OPPO cooperative has trained over 2000 oil palm farmers and donated seedlings in an effort to promote the capacity of oil palm farmers. The Cooperative is headquartered in Ikot Akpa Erong, Ibesikpo local government area, Akwa Ibom State, with operational branches in Ibiono Ibom, Oron, and Itu. We have over 700 hectares of land area cultivated with oil palm in these locations. Akwa Ibom State's soil conditions and abundant year-round rainfall make it an ideal region for oil palm cultivation, ensuring high yields and quality produce.
